Dish

Date1736-95
Label TextThe combination of yellow, green and aubergine enamels originated in the Ming Dynasty and enjoyed great popularity in the Kangxi period. Featuring two dragons pursuing a flaming pearl, this pair of dishes compares closely with a dish of the same period in the National Palace Museum, Taipei, except that the latter has fruit designs on the walls of the piece.
