Label TextPerfecting the underglaze-blue technique made possible richer gradations of the blue color and expanded the repertoire of design. In this vase, monumental rocks and waterfalls divide scenes of scholars enjoying nature as they relax and drink wine on a leisurely boat trip. Above, the "hundred antiquities" visually express appreciation of Chinese antiquity and enlightenment.
